When cutting sheet metal in a press, the press and the
dies are subjected to high loads, and this applies even
more to the processing of higher-strength and ultrahigh-
strength materials. The cause is the fact that the
press ram accelerates strongly due to the sudden loss of
cutting force when the sheet is passed through, and the
resulting vibrations cause damage to the guide elements
of the die and the press over time.
The Azolgas DPC cutting shock absorbers counteract
the movement of the press plunger, preventing its speed
from increasing dramatically.
