Readability of laminated markings now possible!

Laminations such as cataphoretic painting represent major obstacles to component-specific traceability because they cover the previously applied coding and make it unrecognizable.

With an innovative, optical identification system, Senodis closes this gap, enables the reading of printed coding in particular, even under laminations, and thus ensures consistent tracking and tracing of components and products.

The technology is based on a simplified and cost-effective thermographic process. The combination of particle inks, such as those used in our CeraCode® system, with this process enables non-destructive reading of markings, for example through KTL layers.

Due to the low hardware requirement, Senodis' innovative readout technology can be easily integrated into existing and new production lines. It consists of a camera module and an excitation source, which can be connected to all production systems via standardized interfaces. Both standardized code formats such as Data Matrix Codes (DMC) and plain text can be read out.
