coilDNA offers a patented technology for tracking continuously manufactured materials (metals, plastics) and the parts made from them. The core of the technology is a code consisting of 14 non-repeating alphanumeric characters that is applied to the top and/or bottom of a product (coil) in one or more tracks along its entire length. The code is invariant to division and can therefore also be read after stamping, for example of automotive parts. The code can be applied using industrial inkjet printers or lasers at high production speeds of up to 500 m/min, which is impossible with barcodes or QR codes.
