Steel and aluminium service centres world wide use the systems of the SW series to measure the strip width in slitting lines. Product tolerances of up to ± 0,1 mm with a capability index of cg > 1,67 is measured with the system’s accuracy of ± 0,01 mm measurement capable. The visitor will be able to see a measurement demonstration with an insight into the measurement principle with measurement ranges up to 2400 mm. The concept is always the same while the construction may be freely adjusted to the installation space. During a brief hold prior to running production, the highly accurate camera moves over the just briefly cut strips. Due to the parallelly moving backlight, highly accurate images can be taken from the edges of each strip. The edge position is calculated by the powerful software. Exceedances of product tolerances are directly sent to the customer interface to react accordingly. Moreover, the product data is sent over to the testing system to provide fully automated measurement. The high demands of the industry to the measurement accuracy and traceability are ensured by a DAkkS certified calibration normal.
