“Visitor quality was good, and we’re very satisfied. Fur us it’s also important that Blechexpo is held here in Stuttgart, because the sheet metal processing industry is at home here. In my opinion, the overall mood of exhibitors and visitors alike has stabilised – economically as well.”
Trumpf GmbH + Co. KG , Joachim Silber, Advertising and Trade Fairs Manager
“In particular at this point in time, Blechexpo 2009 is an important marketplace for us where we can present innovations to expert visitors, which provide our customers with an especially strong pay-off. We’re very satisfied with visitor numbers, and we’re particularly pleased with the fact that we can plainly see how the market is livening up again.”

“The results of this year’s Blechexpo have significantly exceeded our expectations”, reported TRUMPF managing director Dr. Mathias Kammüller after the trade fair closed at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. TRUMPF was able to surpass its goals considerably during the four exhibition days. “With all of the uncertainties which underlie the current situation in the German machinery manufacturing sector, the fact that our customers are investing again is a positive sign”, says Kammüller. Kammüller also indicated that despite the successful trade fair, caution is appropriate in light of the economic situation. More and more signs are indicating that the lowest point been passed. “Nevertheless, there’s no talk of giving the all-clear signal, either at TRUMPF or in the German machinery market.” There were conspicuously large numbers of visitors from outside of Germany at Blechexpo. TRUMPF was able to greet large delegations from 16 different countries at its booth.

“All in all we had fewer visitors than in 2007, but our target group was there. And we’ll exhibit here in the future as well for this reason.”
Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH , Bernd Dalmer, IQ Sales Manager
“Despite the event dates which were unfavourable for us, we were able to pick up lots of leads. Visitor quality was good as well. On the whole, things are picking up a bit for the sector.”
Metabowerke GmbH, Eduard Stoller, Project Manager for Trade Fairs
“Especially during times like these, you have to demonstrate your presence and show the market what you’ve got and what you can do. And things may get loud in the process, as was the case at our booth. The goal of attracting attention with our booth was plainly successful for us at Blechexpo, and we were also able to surprise the competition with an avalanche of new products in the field of metalworking. This makes a lasting impression on the customers. From metalworkers to managers, everybody was there – even international guests, for example from Israel and Russia.”
Friedrich Remmert GmbH, Matthias Remmert, Managing Director (sales and marketing)
As one of Europe’s leading trade fairs, Blechexpo is an important platform for us where we can present our complete line of intra-logistics solutions in the field of sheet metal processing. We took advantage of the trade fair in order to establish new contacts, and further develop existing ones. Feedback for our trade fair offerings was very good. I was above all surprised by the good quality of our meetings. Very often the visitors had concrete investment plans, which were frequently discussed in detail at our booth.
