International Meeting Place for Sheet Metal Processors   SB_PI4_180105_engl.doc (27.0 KB)

International Meeting Place for Sheet Metal Processors

Blechexpo

Frickenhausen, 25 January 2005. Roughly five months before the trade fair opens its doors, one thing is already certain: The BLECHEXPO international trade fair for sheet metal processing and joining technology will chalk up record breaking figures in 2005, and will continue to assert itself at the international level. In the meantime, all 6 pavilions at the Sinsheim Exhibition Centre are already up to 85% full. This corresponds to just under 500 participating exhibitors occupying more than 193,000 square feet of net floor space. And BLECHEXPO is demonstrating a sharp upswing where internationalism is concerned as well: Italy is still number one amongst the exhibiting nations, followed by Switzerland and the Netherlands. Exhibitors from a total of 16 countries are represented.
As a leady technological trade fair for sheet metal processing and joining technology, BLECHEXPO is attracting companies from Central European EU member countries to en ever greater extent: Exhibitors from Poland and Slovenia have already registered, and Southeast Europe will be represented by Turkey as well. Growth in visitor numbers is also expected according to project manager Monika Frank: “We’ve taken a giant step forward since the last SÜDBLECH in March 2004 with our new BLECHEXPO. Not only did we attract all of the market leaders including ThyssenKrupp, Trumpf, Amada and many more in bygone SÜDBLECH days; it is precisely these companies who are now deciding in favour of increasing their booth floor space, which indicates that the exhibitors are plainly taking notice of BLECHEXPO’s international character, and want to present themselves in an even more innovative ad attractive fashion. And this will of course lead to even more internationalisation amongst the visitors as well.”

Trade Fair promoter Paul Eberhard Schall is also optimistic: “After announcing that the well established SÜDBLECH will now be promoted under a new name during the EMO years, we’ve made it plainly apparent that our trade fair for sheet metal processing and joining technology will be elevated to an even more international level. And we’ve succeeded in accomplishing this objective in recent months, because the number of represented countries has increased, and this trend will continue its ascent.”

Thus BLECHEXPO will more than live up to its reputation as a showcase for modern sheet metal processing. The entire technological spectrum of sheet metal processing will be exhibited with all types of materials, numerous cutting and forming processes, joining and fastening technology, as well as tooling, sheet metal products and purchased parts. Newly developed, as well as innumerable optimised processes will be presented, providing expert visitors with comprehensive insights into the industry’s most advanced technologies. The trade fair program will be rounded out with demanding presentations held at the FORUM, which once again will certainly be a must for many visitors. And know-how transfer will also be at the forefront of the planned seminar series.
