BLECHexpo and SCHWEISStec with Unbridled Power
The BLECHexpo-SCHWEISStec technical trade fair duo is generating unmistakably positive signals and is thus successfully digging in its heels against any and all economic downswings.
Good news in rather lean times: Manufacturers and suppliers of sheet metal processing machines are once again demonstrating confidence and will pass through the economic low point of the year 2009 at the latest during their active participation at the BLECHexpo international trade fair for sheet metal processing. And the same applies to the complementary SCHWEISStec international trade fair for joining technology, which will also present a truly encouraging array of exhibitors. As reported by Monika Frank, project manager of the successful trade fair duo, by April 2009 more than 650 exhibitors had already made firm floor space bookings. As regards exhibition floor space, levels reached in record breaking year 2007 have already been nearly matched. There’s still 7 months time before BLECHexpo and SCHWEISStec open their doors, and thus Monika Frank is confident that visitor numbers for the year 2007 (namely 858) can be matched, if not exceeded – especially in light of the fact that at least a slight upswing is expected within the markets as of the third quarter of 2009.
The fact that this is by no means unrealistic, but rather entirely possible, is demonstrated by various factors and aspects. For example, 130 of the 650 exhibitors come from outside of Germany representing 22 countries from around the globe. And there are lots of enquiries for increased booth floor space, for which reason the trade fair team has made initial plans to use seven halls, corresponding to more than 805,000 square feet. As far as SCHWEISStec exhibitors are concerned, more than 65% of the floor space occupied in 2007 has already been booked firmly, so that a full house can be expected here as well.
Both trade fair have lots of new exhibitors from Germany and other European countries, as well as from Asia, thus further expanding the portfolio of offerings. Now that the ZVEI association, as well as manufacturers of electric tools, have decided in favour the BLECHexpo-SCHWEISSTec process sequence trade fair duo, all of the big names from this sector will be on hand in hall 7, in order to present their newest products and solutions for more efficiency and economy to the expert visitors. Once again in 2009, information offerings will be rounded out by the exhibitor forums: for BLECHexpo in hall 6 and for SCHWEISStec in hall 9.
